Sorry guys, I'm not going to make it down for this event. My mum has just informed me she's planning to visit starting the 22nd

Improving all the time and will definitely be down in September if there's nothing else between now & then

Sorry to hear the Bill but family before fun, or something like that.

Where has the time gone...  only three more work days until I switch the C for the R!*

Just for fun you can see the current(updates every 10 minutes) weather on two of the model fields over here on this link > http://frettavefur.net/webcam/ < my home field is the top one.
The 24 hours of light are almost upon us.

*Thanks Little Keith for that gem! ; )

Thanks Selleri. I'd hoped mum wasn't coming over until next week, but she found some cheap flights :?

Oh yes, The time now is 07.30 Irish Summer Time and I’m looking at your two flying sites. One says the time there is 05.18 and it looks like a beautiful sun burst coming up behind a hill, :D  the second (lower) site says the time is 02.41 and it looks like what I would call ‘twilight’ in Ireland. (but at nearly 3 in the morning! )

Fancy staying awake all summer and sleeping all winter. Actually that sounds like a plan! 8)

We are on GMT all around the year over here, so currently the time is 7:48 or one hour behind IST if I'm not mistaken.
The webcam software has probably crashed on the lower site and is sending pictures intermittently.

Here is a direct link to the daily album for today:
http://www.modelflug.net/webcam/gallery.php?cam=&dir=2014-05-19&len=150

I'm also working on a timelapse feature that you can see here:
http://www.modelflug.net/webcam/prufa.php?dags=2014-05-19&fps=1

Maybe something to consider for "live" broadcast from slope events in the future?  :?:

That is very nice!
And I can see a slope on the first field :)
Are you gliding from there?  :?:

The slope on the second has been flown, the slope on the home field isn't so good as we tend to get bad turbulences and it's more rocky than usual up there.

Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty of this forthcoming “impromptu” meeting.

Selleri; are you coming down to the Big L during your visit to the Emerald isle? and if so what day do you think you will be there ? :?:

Well my local guide informs me that I've been booked on the lonely mountain from Friday until late on Monday, with various bits of irish yoga and local pub tours included in that timeframe!

I stopped by the Icelandic Alcohol and Tobacco Monopoly, conveniently located across from my workplace, on the way home to see what I was up against! I kid you not the government is the only seller here and only between 10-18:00 unless you buy a pint at a bar.

I think I'll wait for a proper draught when I arrive!

Much better in a proper pub! :)
Anyway, 2 sleeps left.

Also, we might have 2 pilots from Germany, actually touring the country, to join us (wives depending I have been told   )

Hmmm, they do get around don't they! We've had couple over here for the last months doing some university work and of course flying.
