Graupner Rogallo - some help needed

Folks,

Some time back I acquired a Graupner Rogallo from soneone who shall remain nameless (Kevin...). In need of refurbishing he said.

Anyway, its bubbled its way to the top of the building queue at long last, and bits of it are curing as we speak.

What I don't have are the following:

Recommended CoG range
Recommended control throws

I know I can take a guess at all of these things, but I'm fairly sure the test flight will be a lot less exciting if I don't. I've even got the original ballast, but I'll be using a different battery and then there is all the refurb work to move things around just a tad.

One other thing  I've no clue about is the flap mix, I'm assuming the original setup was that flaps operated as flaps only and ailerons operated as ailerons only, with a bit of crow mixed in for safe arrivals.

Whilst I'm assured the model will fly well, I've not been able to come up with any setup information from the interweb, which is a bit surprising. Google really doesn't have all the answers!

I should have the plans in the workshop only to find them :)

Crow brakes are very important on the model and need to be setup correctly. I'll get back to you when I have the info.

Thanks Ralph,

no immediate panic as its sharing top spot in the queue with a John Hamilton inspired 'Happy Hour', but since I have all the bits for the refurb ready and waiting if I have the information I can putter away at it when I need a break from the other model.

Some sanding to do on it next

Hi Chris, here is the info you required from the Rogallo plans if you don't already have it.
C.G. 100 mms from leading edge.
Control surfaces (measured at the point of max chord)
Rudder 90 mm Total
Elevator 18 mm Total
Ail Up 25 mm  Ail Down 5 mm
Flaps Up 3 mm Flaps Down 4 mm

Butterfly Mode
Ail Up 25 mm
Flaps Down 14 mm
Elevator Down 5 mm

Thanks Tom,

Model was test flown by its previous owner with settings taken from a Discus. Some changes required!

Will dial in your numbers and see how it goes.
