Thanks Keith  :D ,

Yeah, big wheels! Great to fly from anywhere !
Bored with a plane after roughly 2 minutes, but that little thing is..errr.. fun!
Have tow hook, so good to tow the 2m thermal ships range.

And yes... Did put a video camera on it  :P  No boobs (must love France for that!) but one of the most boring/useless aerial video ever (well, like all aerial videos really...)... If I have 2 minutes, I might do a best of... Shaking landscape best of, not going to be easy !
Education is important, but flying RC planes and gliders is importanter!

Hi fellow slope rebels

Well, Richard and I took to the slopes today on Moneymore for a spot of flying in a respectable 40mph+ winds. The two phase 6's flew well, but a rough landing damaged Richard's, therefore, according to the Ralf Harris song, 'there's room on my phase 6 for two' so we took turns in flying the other model. A Great day was had by all. oh yes we will be back flying tomorrow with Wild Bill, winds 20mph+ forcast. weeeeeee!!!

Richard on the sticks

Phase 6 on a low pass

Another pass for the camera

What a day Mr. Pearson ! Flying on the smallest slope on the mountain yet it has some of the best lift.
Looking at your pictures has greatly effected me ! Am I really that old lol ?
Yesterday I felt like a teenager mmmmmmm !
Chuckle Brothers take to the air today , let the fun begin !
Andrew is gigging tonite so is unable to join the fun, and Kees has gone AWOL in his new camper van.
Its just us hardcore flyers today !

Good to see there is still some activity in Ireland while most of the lads are off in Germany.

I too was flying my Phase 6 yesterday. (In fact I’ve come to regard the Phase 6 as the bench mark to asses other models by. For me it’s the Standard model)
I’ve moved the CoG back an inch on mine. Now she’s very agile but a little tricky to land, think I’ve gone a bit too far. :!:

Just to amend you’re your last slogan John, “Real men fly slope aerobaticsSo here’s a challenge for you. When you go flying today how about photo’ing some close in passes with the plane inverted? :D

Go ON! Give it a try! 8)

Your wish is my command Keith, up side down, no problem, O.K. no problem for Richard, he's the good pilot !!! We had another great day on the slopes, this time wind speeds 20mph and super lift. Wild Bill flew so much that his tranny when into the red (low power), he even got the SU25 into the air, but damaged it on a down wind landing. Richard put the little Fox through it's paces, and for you Keith, yes inverted close in passes, this small glider just gets better and better with every flight. I flew the phase 6 and even took the small B52 up for a couple of bombing runs along the slope, and yes I to flew a couple of low passes  keith, except my passes ended up at the bottom of the slope!!

More pics from the days activities:

which one will I fly mmmm???

Richard gives his little Fox a pet talk before flight!

away she goes!!!

Inverted pass just for keith!

In case you missed it Keith, we did another inverted low pass just for you!!

I think the other lads have some video and pics coming soon!!

A-Haar, yes very good guys. Take a well earned pat on the back the lot of you.
When I said a close in low pass I actually meant parallel to the slope not perpendicular to it, but very well done none the less. Now let’s see it done with a phase 6!  :D ( The fox has a symmetric wing I believe). The key, I’ve found, ( after many repair jobs) is SPEED. I put the plane into a dive from a great height while flying parrallel to the slope,  and then just push the stick forward and hold it there, at the end of the pass do a quarter roll and take the plane out into the lift again. Like I said, the key is converting height into speed

Doesn’t it feel good when you go home with all models airworthy (apart poor Bill’s SU25) and the tranny flashing red at you. 8)

Have to admit I’m getting a little worried about Richard. :?:  First I find him flashing his naked legs on the forum. Now I see him lying on his back ostensibly “talking” to his windrider Fox! I think he’s a good pilot but just a bit ‘Kinky’

Glad you all enjoyed your two days. :D

Great day on the hill. The Frogfoot is in a couple of pieces, but they'll glue back together with no problems. No worries there.

Maidened a home brew 60" V tail model too. It flew very well, crisp turns, easily controlled and FAAAST   Richard loved the whistle from it as it went past.

Good flying in good company. Can't think of a better way to spend Saturday afternoon

Hi Icewind, the Fox is by windrider, made from bouncy EPP and it flys fantastic.
I used tape to strenghten the winds and only glue used was to attach the elevator ! Total weight with battery is 437g !
I used a standard servo for the elevator , Hitec 55 for rudder and EMAX ES08MA metal geared servos for the ailerons. The emax es08 are the best small budget servo I have ever used. and check the price http://www.expressfly.org.uk/shop/product_info.php?products_id=281

This is my baby Fox fly on a windy day, the more you cuddle her the better she flys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just for Keith
