Thanks for that Ron. I assume "market strategy" is the politically correct term for what I used to know simply as  "Sex" (Must remember to ask the wife for some market strategy in future. Maybe that's where I've been going wrong in the past! :?: )

Brian; are you serious about wanting me to order you a Duck? I seem to recall you telling me you had no interest in combat, and I've been on the receiving end of your practical jokes before!
You should be okay for a Duck as I've just had an email back from Wowings saying they can't start on the order for a day or two.

Come on guys,....Any more for Any more???

Ron, wouldn't you like to sample the delights of combat. It's good for the relflexes  It'll make you feel young gain :) I promise!
(Trust me, I'm a Doctor.)

Hi Keith,
Yes ,I may as well. I'll pay as soon as you know actual costs.
If there is going to be some combat and or foamie racing I would take part (if around) to make up numbers and for a laugh.
When in Rome and all that.

Okay Brian,......ordered,......One Duck, for the use of!

In fact. When I'm on the slopes, everyone "ducks" when I declare I'm about to land

Hi Keith,

Yeah, yeah, OK don't nag
You've twisted my arm (errr... metaphorically that is (whatever that means)), so I'll go for a Booby.
Yeah, really :D

As to actual combat... doesn't that need at least two people?
All I can find down here in the wilds of West Cork is seabirds (can't beat them) and sheep.

But one of these days I'll visit the far east.

Marketing strategy - that means selling one thing but promising something else.
Errrr.... think I've dug myself into a hole here

Good Man Ron!

(  I think I should be asking Wowings for a commission on these sales!)

I'll email them and increase the order to include your "Booby"

Just thinking Ron. If you've got sea birds near you, then you must have the sea near you as well. That means cliffs. That means laminar lift. Which is Beautiful
Maybe the "Far east" will come down to you one day. (Soon)

Right then, who else can I nag.

Alan, Peter, Sean, Dave K, none of you guys interested in a spot aerial wrestling? It's very invigorating, and like I said, we can all gang up on Joe and Fred. What FUN!

Thanks Keith

Sea and cliffs... well yes, plenty of sea though not many cliffs.
Mostly the land tends to slope down over huge rocks interspersed with bogs.
Though I must investigate the dunes at Barley Cove one day.

Ah yes.
Ganging up on Joe and Fred.
There had to be a good reason to head for the eastern hills, and that's it  8)
Lets see... with this westerly half gale, if I mount the spinnaker on top of the car it should take about 20 minutes

If i go for the W's i won't see any B's for a long time! :-)
The budget wasn't approved, i guess i have to re-enforce my flying toys in the mean time so i be prepared for Joe and Fred flying hammer's that knock the rest out of the skies!

Okay Chaps, I now have the costs for shipping what was a total of five models to Ireland.
Pete, (the guy who runs Wowings) was very grateful for such a large order and sends fraternal love and kisses to all members of I.S.R. And by the way would we like to give him another order for five models next month!

The total cost of shipping turns out to be AU$185, which I equate to around 95Euro. Divided by 5 (models) means we each end up paying 19  Euro shipping per model. (All the way from Oz, not bad eh?)

Pete is going to let me know the expected E.T.A in due course.

Cool or what!

Hey that's great Keith :o

So you're going to want about AUD 115 = €59.2985 + €19 = €78.2985 or call it about €80, from me.

But I guess that will depend upon the exchange rate as it keeps going all over the place lately.

Hi Ron,

Yeah, 78 will do just fine. (Provided we don't get hit for import duty  )I don't know exactly what exchange rate my credit card uses, but it aint gonna be far away from that figure.
Not too sure how to get your model to you. Do you come up to Co Wexford often? Or maybe one of the other ISR members might be down your way in the near future and you could meet up with him.
(Something to think about  :?: )

Anyway, I'll let you know the ETA date when I have it, Ron

Hi Keith,
A little imagination with the details on the documents should reduce any vat or duty.
Actually 'toys' are duty free.

Ah yes.
Big boys toys.

We'll work something out with collecting.
Lots of to-and-fro ing to the UK lately, by air, due to a family bereavement. But come January (or so) we'll have to do a car trip and bring back a trailer.
So we could call in on the way past.
Unless someone is coming down this way before that. :?:

How can I get the dough to you Keith?
Do you have a PayPal account perhaps?
Or PM me with your address and I'll bung a cheque in the post.

Ron

Yeah Ron, if you're passing through in Jan I could easily meet you in Rosslare, but that's a long time to wait for your Booby. We'll think about this some more. The misses and I might be coming down to Cork city at some time before then, although I'm not sure. Maybe we could meet you there. If I'm feeling extravagant I might even buy you a cup of coffee!
I have got a PayPal account Ron, but I'm yet to figure out how to raise an invoice to someone. I'm a bit of a Geek,....(or am I a Nerd? :?: ) when it comes to reading all the small print. There's no hurry for the money at the moment. And like I said we can't be totaly sure exactly what the final costs are going to be yet. But thank you for your eagerness.

Brian,. I have kinda hinted to Paul that items with a declared value of less than $75 for private addresses within the EU are not normally charged duty. But this is gonna be a big box, not sure if customs will 'swallow it.' I don't know if Paul fears under declaring the customs declaration incase he incures a penalty himself. (I spoke to his wife about it and she seemed a bit 'vague' on the idea)

Nando; well you've missed out this time round. You tell your Young Lady that I said you deserve a new combat model for christmas. :D  ( Although if your "other 'alf" is anything like mine, it wont make a scrap of difference :!: )
