It would be these little guys...

There are 4 per elevon, so I've spaced them approximately equal down the length.  The Good Lady has donated a hair pin to the cause, so was able to poke glue into the slot I'd cut.

I think I'll give the glue a whirl.  Worst that can happen is that I need to cut them off and tape them instead?

Hmmm,….. can’t really make out what I’m looking at from that picture I’m afraid.

The easiest glue to use, if you are trying to get it into small gaps /crevices’  is thin  ‘CA’ glue (superglue) It uses a capillary action to draw itself into the ‘hole’.

Wise move to involve the “Good Lady” :D   . That way they tend to be a little less vitriolic when you come home with the inevitable Large Plastic Bag of Bits.     (Ask me how I know. )

In this case, the Good Lady states "I'll be pi$$ed if you bring that home in bits after the time you've spent on it"!

Elevons seem to have glued ok...  Only flight will tell.

As for flight...  I don't know how the bits will fit!

The only thing below the battery is the receiver, and it's the only thing that can't be moved further than I have done already.

How good would a duck tape canopy be?

No images being shown David! ;;;;;;;;;;probably because the pictures you are trying to upload are too big. Here’s a link to some free editing software. http://photofiltre.en.softonic.com/  (thank you Mr Fred) Max size for this form is 800,…….I think :?: .

( I like free software. Leaves more money for models :D  :D )

As for the rx position, as long as the antenna isn’t ‘shielded’ by any electrically conductive material it should work fine.

I dare say a “Duck tape canopy” would work 8) . Only one way to find out!

Have you ‘Spun up the Prop’ yet?

David Wilson, (aka Angry Muppet………what a ridiculous avatar.  But then there’s no accounting for taste I s‘pose :?: ) popped into the workshop today. With a bit of juggling, and half a dozen cups of tea, he managed to get this powered foam wing sorted out.
It’s much easier to explain things when it’s there in front of you.

I posted this picture because I don’t think David’s image has appeared anywhere else on the forum. Nice to see some young blood coming into the hobby. No doubt we’ll be seeing more of him at future Glide-In’s. :D

Taste?  That's easy Keith...  I have none!

Wing is now sitting awaiting the glue to set again.  Hopefully not in the servo this time!

Well, I thought a duck tape canopy was going to be a bit ugly, and I like pretty, so hit on the idea of using a PET bottle cut in half instead.  Duck tape of that and it should be as secure as a fairly secure thing.

Looks to me like there should be enough room in there...

Think it might now be in flyable condition...

Only problem was I needed to install an update to the radio as if I reversed the servos for roll control, I inverted the pitch control.  The update allows the roll and pitch to inverted seperately as the current firmware doesn't do that for elevons...

I desperately feel the need to try it out!
