hi all, i,ve been doing a bit of building lately, one of fred's grunau baby 1/4 sc semi kits to be exact.
he decided to use a different wing section on the wing for slope soaring and suggested i might build it and see see how it would work out.
as usual with fred's designs, it goes together very quickly and everything fits nicely together.
he and mario (ronan) have full build logs of the model with the original wing, so here's a few photos of mine with the new wing (spot the difference)........
fred supplies a servo tray which fits behind the cockpit floor, but i like to have my servos 'getatable', so i'll fit them here instead.
i like to build both halves of the wing at the same time, so i cut the plan and just did everything on the double.
this is where the airbrakes will go. i'm working on them separately until i'm happy with how they work.
this is where the a/b servo will fit. i'm using a couple of hi-tec 82mg.
more photos later, soon as i can drag myself away from the building board
