Demand for a towplane?
« on: March 08, 2007, 09:26:55 AM »
Hmmm. There seems to be a definite uptick in those building nice scale projects. Question: how much demand would there be for aerotowing if a tug was arranged? Is there a site suitable for aerotow???? Discuss. :)

Demand for a towplane?

Hi Karl,

We have a tow plane in the club...
It will be ready this summer (just have to buy the engine) as I have other projects to be finished first.

For a place to fly the plane.. Well.. that's a very good question !
The thing will be to find a club around Dublin and more that agreed to share from time to time the field with tow plane and gliders... That can be done during an event (funfly, scale and so on..) but on a week end basis, I don't really know...  :?:
Education is important, but flying RC planes and gliders is importanter!

I'm all for aerotowing. Thats one of the main reasons why I'm building my K8. I only hope we get some good weather this summer. If I'm not mistaken last May was the wettest may on record.
