Title: 2m PuRES Event

NIMSA ran a 2m PuRES event today at which we had 7 competitors and that's with acouple still to be built. One design class evens the playing field and stops it being a financial race! Some great flying in what looked very much like a dead sky and in the final round everyone just flew on. Longest flight time was 23.5 minutes!!

Unfortunately I crashed my model due to the 90° bend I put on the push rod it broke at the servo and didn't use it for the photo
I was allowed to fly the fresh in the last 2 rounds and I had no advantage in any way as both flights were trimming flights and getting the tow hook position correct
But must say the fresh was easier flew

What about a postal event come the spring? Would allow an All Ireland competition without the travel?

Another great day with e 2m PuRES today, 6 of us out just for a bit of fun flying. Despite the cold there was some lift but times were still well down on last week. Hopefully we'll get out a few time sthrough the Winter and try to find some frozen thermals  8) 8)

Hi all.

I am looking forward to getting out and about again very soon this year.
I really enjoy flying my PuRES V2.
I have just finished  building a second fuse for E-power.
These models are a very nice build and I look forward to the day we can all get together for some PuRES fun.
