Title: RX Battery for 1.2 M Fling
Post by: haydenc on July 31, 2008, 21:54:25 PM
Got a Fling 1.2M from the States.
Shops here couldn't supply one.
Seemingly its out of production as far as Europe goes.
I seem to suffer from this.
It was the same with the first 2 gliders I tried to buy.
Model assembled and almost ready to go.
Have a problem though.
The RX battery pack I have is the square 4 AA battery pack.
This however is TOO BIG to fit into the slim fuselage.
There must be an easy answer.
What do others use in the Fling.
Where can I get it.
Thanks in expectation
Charlie

Hi Charlie.

I just bought a 750mAh, 4 cell pack from Island Models.
It's basically 4 AAA cells, and is about as wide a 3 AA cells, that's about 41mm wide by 45mm long, and 10mm thick.

Or there are 4 cells in a bunch which must be about 20mm square.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Ron.
The second option seems to fit the bill size wise.
It seems to be out of stock though.
I have used the handy Notify Me link on the site in case my search drags on.
At least now I know such a power pack exists.
Its difficult when you are learning something new  :!:
You just don't know what exists in the way of accessories.
Thanks for the help
