Looks really sweet and hoping to see one fly soon on the slopes of Northern Irealnd
This 1/4-scale replica of this internationally recognized sailplane comes with plenty of scale details including a hinged canopy and an authentic Red Bull trim scheme from the world-famous Flying Bulls. In addition, the foam wings not only provide strength, but also provide a more accurate representation of the full-scale airfoil. The fiberglass construction provides strength and rigidity to the fuselage, while features such as flaps and a spacious cockpit area for radio equipment make this plane easy to operate and maintain, and optional electric spoilers can be added. This great flying plane is ideal for sailplane and aerotow pilots as well as slope soarers.

Looks like the Blanik is the model of the year 2013!
Sebart also released a Blanik RTF! (but smaller, at 3.2m on top of my head)
-
Your correct Mr. Fred.
I think the 4'2m is better size for this glider.
With time I hope to give you a report.
-
Richard darling, you’re back! :D Haven’t heard from you for such a long time, I thought you had ‘pass on.’ (I was going to send a wreath.) :P
Are you all well? and I know it’s off topic but how is your new man cave progressing? Do send us some pictures of the interior. What’s on the work bench?
Nice looking plane by the way, have you got yours yet?
Keith

Bigger is better! (that's my excuse, and I stick to it! )
Any idea of the price yet? :?:
Not a lot of new gliders in catalogues for 2013...
-
Hi Keith, time seems to pass by so quickly and winter time I go into hibernation
No new developements on the man cave accept its like a fridge inside and I am thinking of making a wood burner to get up some heat for my babys that have to winter inside the cave.
Fred my darling , no price as yet.
I was hoping one would appear for our slope fest. Time will tell.

Can't wait to try it!

Strange that :?: ,…..Andrew told me he thought you spent your winters masturbating. Maybe he was confused and meant hibernating. At least the former would help to keep you warm. (If not a little sore and somewhat exhausted by the spring time! :P )
Hopefully you’ll have the new Blanik by the PSS event in March. (I trust we’ll be seeing you there.)
Love those swept forward wings. Incidentally, does the swept forward aspect have any benefit? other than bringing the CoG forward.

 did you see the price of the model it's over £700

Hi Andrew, yes it might seem expensive but I have been assured that the Blanik 4.2 is top top quality. The fus is perfection and the wings are super strong ( Balsa Skinned with Carbon capped spars )
The only down side I see is it would take an 80cc plane to aero tow it.

Amazing flying!
I’m afraid those models are way out of my range. Even if I owned one I’d never be able to fly it to it’s max ability. It’d just be a “Look what I’ve Got” show piece.
(But it’s nice to dream :P )
However, in the hands of an expert………….. when did you say you’re getting yours Richard?!

Hi Keith, your right it is a dream plane :P
I love to dream lol and no smutty replies please lol

  Okay my friend,...point taken!

Can't understand why it's gonna take an 80cc tug Richard :?: I towed a 32lb glider on a 62cc zenoah and the tug weighed 20lb
I reckon I could tow it with the cub no bother :D
-
In the video they used a 100cc DA and as you see it had bags of power and they did say a 60cc would do it on a long runway, We only have a few of those up North. I am no expert with air towing but I think its all about get up into air quickly,
Maybe our ace designer guru could do a short kit for us.
A team build glider Ireland Blanik :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:
Here is one I saw fly last year.

Hi Richard, already requested a Blanik from Fred and is on the "List" :D
Lovely plane
No pressure Fred, would look great at the Menez though!
-
hey young boyd
is that a photo of the full size glider and tug
cause they're towing frow the tail wheel and in a model you're towing over the CG
aye if you have a tug available with a 100cc of power you'll leap into the sky in no time but that size of model i think i could still tow it with the hanger 9 cub and the 30cc engine :D
-
Tractor power by Zenoah 62 cm3 with muffler resonator can tract big glider, The Pope have a light tractor with this motor , and i can tract glider with 12 kg.
