Anybody got one of these....
I'm thinking about buying one.... New €250 RTF

Pro's and Con's ..what do you think....
Would you recommend them for a newbie pilot......
Are they good in strong winds,How much landing spare do you need for these 2m gliders.....

Hi Sean,

Should be dead easy to fly.
Excellent 'starter'.
Not quite so sure about the price tag though.
But.... I suppose for an RTF that's not too bad.

I started, like so many people in those days, on one of these...

And I've still got it.

Rudder/elevator only, and as solid as a rock.

So I reckon that Radian would work well.

Go  for it, I am flying 24 years and got one this summer, will handle up to 20 mph wind, thermals great and quick to assemble.
B.T.W. amount of space to land depends on pilots ability, will land in a pitch easy.
Spots or no Spots?

The cheapes I've seen on E-Bay.Buy it now. . is £179.oo plus £30 Postage

That £210 and a few days / week for it to arrive...   :(

With the exchange rate at €100=£85-ish it works out about the same price
 and I don't have to wait..  :D

Theres loads of good review on the Parkzone Radian on Youtube
plus I can get spares from the shop in Cork or off E-Bay...

Yeah, go for it Sean.

Ralph: Good to see the Cork club has it's web site back.

Hadn't appreciated the flying field is just North of Bandon.
And the weather links on the web site is very useful. :D

Hey Sean,
A two mtr. Radian er?……….Now you’re talking!

I’ve never had one but looking at the spec, I’d say it was a good choice. 8)

Here’s a link to a free booklet you might like to download. The way it’s written is, in my opinion, is a little bit ‘Formal’ and ‘Instructive’ but it has loads of useful information in it. http://www.bmfa.org/publications/files/EUA.pdf

Look forward to meeting you on the slopes of Mount Lienster. :D

Hi Ron

'Impala', now that takes me back!, fantastic little glider, one of my first gliders flying RC along with a Mick Reeves 'Snipe'. I think it is still flying in the banbridge club? Is this model still on the market?

Hi John,

Yes it really can be called a classic.

The original kit was by Veron, who have gone long ago.
But I have found someone selling the plans on eBay (where else?).

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230547890225#ht_1128wt_982

I think they are copies of an original.
