Okay guys, for those of you who are interested in metrology in the vicinity of Big L. ( well,……25km S.E. of the mountain) here follows the latest report on the atmospheric conditions.
Wind speed: 15 - 20 Km/h
Wind direction: Northerly
Precipitation: None
Temperature: 8 degrees C
Atmospheric pressure: 1014mB rising
Humidity: 81%
The sky is heavily overcast here in Co. Wexford, and Big L is completely covered in cloud. In fact it looks like it’s probably raining on the Blackstairs mountains at the moment.
The downside is that we can’t fly in the rain.
The upside is that if the rain stops the ground will be that much softer to accommodate those slightly heavy landings that sometimes occur. (Well,….. they occur when I’m flying anyway)
With no sunshine it’s going to be up to the wind alone to disperse Big L’s cloud cover.
I’ll give another report in an hour
K.
