Richard, John, thanks to you for coming down to the events !      Same for Fergal, good to put some faces on forum's names  :D
Hope you had fun and that we will see you again soon.

First gathering for the year was, I think, a success. Some small showers, a bit of sun, wind, a great slope, and a bunch of like minded people... A perfect day !  :D

2 meetings in a day, not bad, I have a few photos, I'll post them after my breakfast  :D

Hey John,

After doing a little searching through my ‘bits & pieces,’ i.e. the stuff that I should have thrown away ages ago but have kept on the basis that, “It’ll come in handy one day,……….even if I never use it!” I’ve found my old Phase 6 wing. :)

It’s a semi symmetrical type that I used on my first Phase 6. Pretty much ready to ‘rock and roll’ once it’s got a couple of servos in it. No flaps I’m afraid, but with twin servos you could make both ailerons turn up into spoilerons which will tame the bird for landing to some degree.

Only other thing is that when I was using this wing I banded it to the ‘fuse’.  (I knew I’d end up crashing it so I wanted the wings to come off without damaging anything.) If you wanted it for your Phase 6 you’d have to insert a dowel pin in the front. (Or put some pegs through the fuse and use rubber bands it like I did)

Oh, one more thing…….you might want to change the colour scheme!

Either way, it’s your’s for the taking if you want it.

Try not to run out of airspeed, altitude and ideas....... all at the same time.

Er,….well….no. You’d need flaps working in opposition to the spoilerons for that. But the spoilerons by themselves will certainly shed quite a bit off her landing speed. And without that big aileron servo in the middle of the fuse there should be less damage caused during,...........er......how shall I put this? :?:

Unconventional Landing

I'll bring 'em to the PSS in March

One of the few perks of being divorced Joe, don't need to gain brownie points.
