Back at it - north Dublin
« on: October 04, 2020, 09:18:03 AM »
Hi,

After years of fretting and contemplating I finally got back into the game (thanks COVID Fridays). Joined fingal model flying club just north of where I live (Donabate), and they have a lovely but tiny slope that works perfect for small smaller aircraft but depends on easterlies which are rare enough.

So I finally built the BLH Tito that I bought in 2013 back when I lived in Toulouse waiting for the winds to turn - should work really well there.

Anyone else flying north of Dublin?
Where do you fly? It's a bit flat out here 🤦🏻♂️.

Would love to join a meet up wherever is doable from here.

Thanks!
Karel

Hello Karel and welcome,

I am living in Cork, probably no help to you, but just to give you a heads up there are a few lads in Dublin and the surrounds flying. They will pop in and say Hi from time to time but this tends to be a quiet time of the year,

Next planned meet will be March 2021, hopefully.

Keep in touch

Ralph

Thanks Ralph!

Yes I'm aware of the seasonality. Our club bring out the bashers in winter 🤣
Hoping to meet a few fellow slopers in the new year!
