It was built by Paddy Healy - in a few weeks if memory serves. I was put in touch with Paddy and Mervyn Cooper by Willie Owens when I first started flying - about 1989. When Paddy died this Blanik came to me but it was my son who flew it most. It had one notable thump - on a head on approach for a landing. At about head height Jonathan pulled on the airbrakes but only one opened. Before I could open my mouth it had rolled, tipped a wing tip and ........... but it was easily repaired and flew many times after that.
