80cc hangar 9 Pawnee
« on: September 16, 2020, 13:15:57 PM »
This Sunday I hope to put the big Pawnee to the test, I have been assured that it will tow up 4 to 5m gliders with ease 🤞🤞

I've recently bought a DLE 111 engine for the Pawnee
I'm in the process of installing it
I'm also changing the position of the tow release I'm going for a bridle release

Cans finally installed 😁
When I bought the header pipes they came with a roll of PTFE tape apparently you need to wrap the flexible part with the tape to stop it leaking 😲
Just the cowl to sort now and the bridle release

After a bit of work the DLE 111 fired up and after a half a tank of fuel I flew the Pawnee
Amazing the difference a few horsepower makes 😁😁
A few more flights to run the engine in and I'll be ready to tow anything 😁😁😁
