Coming together nicely Fred looks really good.
What are you using to create the rivet lines?

Thanks Joe :)

I have a "riveter" (wheel), but in this case, I simply used an old ball point pen (medium size). Lightly pressed in the aluminium.
It does look the part a metre away, but far from perfect up close. The wheel was punching through the aluminium :(

God Fred you must have grate patience, Sounds far more boring than having to write 500 lines as a punishment when back in school.
"Joe must pay more attention in class" or perhaps worse. Might be easier to write 50 lines saying I must not push to hard on the wheel and then use it gently.
Keep up the good work it does make a huge difference to the model.

Well, it is taking a while alright! :)
It is a punishment alright (I wish this was the school punishment! That would have been a cool teacher :) "500 rivets on my plane because you are noisy, that will calm you down!"  >:D

In this case anyway, you can't really do it without those rivets  :'( It does look cool :) Fuselage sheeting started, maybe some photos tonight, but we are getting close to the finish line!
Just in time for the next one  :-[

Today, fuselage!

I made an executive decision, and decided to glue the front canopy, and leave the battery inaccessible, but I could not bear the look of the seam on the fuselage!
CofG done before gluing it. I had to put a 5cells 4200 and a bit of lead to achieve a CG at 90mm from le.
Manual says 65mm, but that one looks more sensible!
Anyway, 2 hours of “fun” later, had my fuselage done.
Really pleased with the front part, I really thought I was going to struggle, but no, just time consuming!
