Gloster Meteor PSS
« on: November 23, 2017, 10:39:13 AM »
Well, that one jumped the queue!

I needed something to test the build technique I am going to use for the B29, and that one is the perfect subject!
Not too big, with 2.2m WS.
The plan is well advanced and the plan is to build it sometimes this winter.

OOohhh nice Andy! Sorry for the silence (life etc!)

Mine is doing well, also another one moved up the pile. Getting the workshop ready now as all that needs to be done in the next 5 months!

Ooh, lovely Corsair Fred!  No problems on the Meteor - I'll offer the plan through the PSSA and I can laser cut short kits too if required.  The first prototype is well underway now, hopefully we'll have 3 ready for the new season.

Keep us updated on the Corsair too, I know a few guys that would like one!  :-*

Hey Andy,  Happy New Year to you and yours!
Corsair... Started the build during the break. Also finished the Plans for the Meteor (I can hear "At last!" from the back of the room!!  :-[ ), but as usual, started to build something else. Macon is in 5 months, and the projects start to line up on the bench!!  :-X

Well if you could share anything on the Corsair, that'd be great!

Looking good Andy!!
How are you going to do the engine pods? Up/down halves?

Quick photo of the start on the wings of the Corsair. I put a dedicated post for it this weekend :)

Hi Fred,
Yes the engines will be planked in-situ on the wing, top and bottom halves.
Corsair progress looks great too!  did you ever build the B29?
