Dji phantom 3 standard

Hello I purchased a dji phantom 3s on aliexpress the seller has great reviews on the phantom and I have purchased things from him before,but he just contacted me saying that the drone might be confiscated at customs and to contact my customs but why would it be confiscated or hopefully it won't be could anyone tell me is it going to be confiscated

Hi Sean,

Not an expert, but for it to be confiscated, it would need to be either a fake one, or not having the CE marks.

You will of course have to pay tax duty and fees as this coming from outside of Europe (I guess).

Unless the customs need to make sure you register it with the IAA to comply with the new drone law, but that would be a first. You still need to register it regardless anyway.

Or that was a nice April's fool :)
Education is important, but flying RC planes and gliders is importanter!
