Doubt it as I still need to get two more spars!

Now for something completely different.

Wingribs and other parts.

Some time later.

Must be the wood... or the design!

I'll be slowing down a bit though as I'm still waiting for spar material for the other wing.

Wing has been sheeted.

Countersinking the elevator hinge hole.

Nice and tight.

Last days have been spent on the second wing half, so nothing new there.

I've installed the wing tube, cut some hard wood in the gap between the spars and the tube, then glued with epoxy with fibers and microballons. Also added share web to the spars, should be bulletproof!

Same in the fuselage.

The plane has been used quite a lot on the leading edge.

The wing struts need to attach to something

Every little bit helps to get a better mechanical join.

Then we install the plates in the wing.

And the fuselage.

Hardwood was sanded to an airfoil shape, center drilled and then glued into the alu. strut.

Voila, rinse and repeat for the other wing!

We need a dashboard for the pilot.

Getting there, just need the finishing touches.  :)

Full size looks something like this.

Horns added to the elevator and pushrods made.

It's alive!   :D

Were there suggested control throws being floated about or is TLAR the way to go Fred?   :?:

How weight have people ended up with in the nose? I was thinking of adding some weight at the building stage to minimise what is needed during the finishing stage.

Next up the nose, lot of balsa and dash of plywood needed.

Release for aerotowing will be in the nose.
