Well, you certainly didn’t seem to be short of lift! :D  A couple of heart stopping launches there. The PSS seemed to be the easiest to launch. Because of the higher wing loading,…or more skilled pilot???? (No doubt JP will claim the latter, rather than the former  )

26 Pilots er!…….that’s a good turn out. So who cooked the 72 hot dogs? :P

Thanks for the footage Terry, they were very heavy skies weren’t they.. Always good to see how other pilots fly, hopefully I might learn something to improve my abilities.

Try not to run out of airspeed, altitude and ideas....... all at the same time.

LOL, you sure you don't want to call that ARCTIC flying?

Wow, loads of fun, but boy, it looks chilly! It does take special Irishmen, to call that a hobby! Most people would call it abuse ;-)

Hi Kees and welcome to glider ireland !
Great to hear from my bestest friend !

I cooked on saturday and JP cooked and talked on sunday !
No one has reported food poisoning so at least we did something correct lol
I had some lovely e-mails this morning thanking us for the weekend
I found it very promising to see fathers and sons  enjoying our hobby , these are the future modellers
We also got a new member for our club ,again all worth while.
Mr.Glider Ireland (Fred) seemed to enjoy the hospitality, I think he will remember this trip for a very long time
A big thanks to Mrs, P for cooking for us on Saturday night and to Diane for cooking on Sunday night.

Remember we are planning another trip to Rathlin Island at the end of May.
Again everyone welcome to join us on the Island on Saturday and then Binevenagh Mtn on the Sunday.
We have a few spare beds for the long distance traveller and at no cost ! Fred and Joe have booked so let else Jp or myself know you are coming and we can book your bed in the caravan of love.

Gerry if your travelling up in the camper we can sort you out with a safe parking space.

Well...If you don't know what to do around the same time next year, go to the NI Slope Fest!!  :D

These guys knows how to receive guests!!

Drive from Dublin is peanuts, and the slopes looks great!
We were on the West slope, first day with buckets of wind, lots of lift everywhere, but it was damn cold!!  :?

3 layers on me, and by 1pm, I was totally frozen! Like we have nothing else to do on a Saturday??.. Well, no, good company, good friends, good chat and good hotdogs, where else would you be?!  :D

A big thank you for John's good wife, Roisin, for the meal on Saturday, and of course, a big thank you to Richards and Diane (future slope pilot!!   ) for the accomodation. We finished Saturday night at around 2am! Great chat near the fire, beers, wine... As I said, they know how to receive people these Northern guys!

So, here are a few photos, no videos unfortunately, My camcorder is basically dead!  :!:  :!:  Pain in the neck, I had some good footages!!  :!:  :!:

See you all next year at the slope fest for sure!  :D

Good old ASW15... Just fixed, and realized that one of the airbrakes servo died.. Not easy to do some spot landing without airbrakes on Saturday!

Richard broke the elevator bellcrank in flight (glider landed safely!   ) Shame, flying was looking really good, with some really nice moves!
I think the bellcrank broke while Richard was doing a rolling circle low and slow...

FIRE!!

Richard, the man being the event and the grill...Multitasking again...

And I finally saw the Micro Quark in its flesh!
2 of them actually!
The original one by Andrew, and a second one (with a faultless build!) by Denis (I think I have the name correct?)

I really hope to see these 2 in action!  :D

That's it for me, ran out of photos!
Thanks again for the NI guys for organizing the event, , that was great!
Education is important, but flying RC planes and gliders is importanter!

Good to see the Flitzing Birdie on the slope. (Even better to see Dennis!)

How did my little friend perform in these stormy weathers??

Hi Kees the birdie is awesome as ever, it flew in big winds and in the calm winds on Sunday. Without doubt my most flown plane !!!!!!!!
I have a spare kit if you want it for some bungee flying.
