Saw the thread on RCG, and when you see some of the replies, you wonder why :roll:
Anyway, when you think about it, this kind of behaviour is expected from someone "new" in the hobby, who certainly learnt to fly alone in a field etc etc, as he might not be aware of the potential danger he represent for the public and in a certain extend, if something goes very wrong, the entire hobby, even if 2 minutes of thinking might give him a hint about what he is doing is pretty much stupid.
Discussing with him will only be a big waste of time, and his stupidity has already been pointed out to him several times, to obviously no effect.
Just another guy, that do stupid things, post them on Youtubes, laugh behind his screen certainly thinking how great and cool he is etc...
Now for a story for the ones who are still not bored after the first few lines!
The more worrying, is the behaviour of "proper" aeromodeler, the ones that fly in structured clubs etc!
2 weeks ago, one of my colleague, that happen to be one of the 4 or 5 lawers we have in the company, was walking her dog in Phoenix Park.
Near the flying field...
And one guy, found funny to fly his plane fast and low repetitively, ground attack style, to her dog (must have been seen as "funny", as the dog was running all over the place), and then, same to the passer by (must got bored with the dogs).
As usual, with this kind of people, the brain obviously lack a few connections, and it was not long before he crashed, fortunately without hitting anybody.
Now, that's worrying, as I can understand a certain level of stupidity from people who don't know, but from someone from a structured club, with A, B C... Z certs, safety officers, the whole lot of the fun police and High vis jacket people, is the most worrying part.
The same lot that asked me 10 years ago, to bring my RC gear for them to inspect as that was certainly not up to the Irish standards of safety :roll:
Anyway, I stop there, I have much much more example unfortunately, and this is actually getting worse if you ask me.
She now have the MACI contacts, and I think further action will be done, and that might hurt!
